1988 Suspension
I cant get 4 coilovers and shocks for a 1989 Civic HB for $200. I have a 1988 Civic HB and i thought i read somewhere that the 88's had a slightly different suspenion . Is this true?

yea. the rear lower control arm on a 88 civic is different that the 88-91's. so you would not be able to use the rear shocks from the coilover/shocks you can get because the rear mount point for the shocks is the difference.

Re: 1988 Suspension
If you want to (and dont care about the 88 suspension) you could just pick some some 89+ rear lower control arms from a junk yard for a few bucks. The 88 front shocks are differnt but they will enterchange with later ones.
