stumbles on accel.
I have a 95 GAGT, quad 4, 5 speed. It would idle and run fine but anything other than a real slow acceleration and it would stumble horribly. I replaced the coil packs, sparkplugs, and fuel filter and it didnt help. After replacing the cat converter the problem went away, I could now mash the accel. to the floor and no hesitation whatsoever. That lasted about 3 months and the stumbling slowly started coming back and now i'm driving like my grandma again. Could I possibly plug a converter that fast, or is something else going on?

Re: stumbles on accel.
Sounds like a ignition issue to me, did you replace the plug wires?

Re: stumbles on accel.
could also be injector clog, I really doubt that a new cat. would toast so soon. Toss in a good injector cleaner into your next tankful, it not expensive and may help. It good idea to use cleaner every few tankfuls anyway.

I had the same problem with my 2.3L 95 grand am and I replaced the O2 sensor and the problem has gone away.
