'03 Accelerator Pedal Recall...

Anyone else having probs with their accelerator pedal sticking? Mine has been hard to push, sticking, squeaking...just a PITA. Then I came across someting on the internet showing that it has a recall on just that thing...SO...I took it to the dealer yesterday and of course, they said they couldn't duplicate the problem, eveything was fine. Pretty much what I expected from a dealer (I've worked at one for a VERY SHORT time as a service advisor) I was just wondering if anyone else was having the prob and what they did to correct it. I sure would hate to have a wreck and sue the &#% out of GM. That would be bad.....

I've had this same problem on my 1998. After using the crusie control, the pedal feels like it is sticking farther back and is harder to push. I've found that flooring it and releasing it a few times will make it return to normal, although this normally means I have to pull over and turn off the engine first. I've looked at the throttle under the hood when it is fixed this way and something seems to click back or release, but I haven't had time to play around with it. Try using cruise control to see if you can duplicate it that way.

Anybody else having similar problems or know of any solutions?
