Doors will not lock or open!!!!!!!!!!!
The locks in my 1997 Honda civic and messed up. The driver side locks but you have to force the key all the way up and turn it to the left, it will eventually lock but it takes a "trick" to do it. Whats wrong with it and where do I go to get them fixed (internet site to buy parts) or do I have to goto a Honda dealership!!!!!! The Passenger side door does not open at all!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the grooves that connect to the "pin" (the handle to the door) are completley stripped. I took off the panel and clips are missing and some tie rods aren't even there anymore., I'm pretty sure the lock on this door does'nt work at all!!!!!!!!!Anyway how much would a Honda dealership charge me to get my doors functioning properly again???????????? or is there a place that I can get all the parts I need. I would really prefer taking the car to the dealership instead of having this problem again. Coul I get some estimates or what would be involved in doing the work myself???????

what you could do is go to a junkyard, find a similar car, and take the locks off those doors. The only drawback is you would have 2 keys, one for your doors, and one for the ignition. Unless, you also take the ignition off that junk yard car.... otherwise, im sure the dealer can help you... for about 100X more $
