Angry 93 bonneville shutting down after 30-45 minutes HELP!

OK, here it is. I have a 93 bonneville with 220,000 miles, and after I drive it for about 30 -45 minutes, it will start to sputter and stall until it will eventually just die. I will push down on the gas and nothing there. If I let it set for about an hour to an hour and a half, I'll be able to drive it another 30-45 minutes and it stalls and dies again. Replaced the catalytic converter recently and the fuel filter. The mechanic has it now and wants me to spend over $500 more and maybe it will take care of it. He replaced the crank postiion sensor and I guess it did not help. He tested the fuel pressure and says it does not give a steady psi reading, it fluctuates about 10 psi. So he is assuming the pump over heats and is shutting down. Any help will be a blessing. I love these cars and this is the first major problem I have had with it. Also, the engine light does not come on, and he pulled no codes when hooked up. Thanks alot, Jeff Holland

I have to agree with the mechanic on this one the CPS would have been my first guess. The second however would be the ignition module under the coils and then the fuel pump. If the fuel pump is not holding a steady pressure that indicates that the pump is dying and will need replaced soon anyway.
