93 Civic not right

I have 93 Civic DX,about 290k on it seems to run good on the hwy but shows sighs of running very rich.Tail pipe is black and smells rich at idle. The hotter it gets the less power it seems,I have also noticed it pings alot now. No Check engine light - Got any ideas?

Thanks

For cleaning the fuel system I recomend Lucas. You just pour it into your tank and it works great.

with 290k you may need to rebuild it. but definately try fuel system and air filter treatments. also chck fuel filter, catalitic converter, and 02 sensor

at 290k miles your just being cruel to that poor car j/k
you might want to consider buying a new car in some cases its just cheaper that way if not consider cleaning all fuel systems get a diagnostic and or rebuild cause its sound like your car has had all it can take but at 290k an it still runs thats a warrior good luck
