My first 1/24 car model.

Ok, so I bought an Aoshima Nismo Skyline GT-R R34. This is going to be my 1st car model. I'm looking at all the parts and stuff and was thinking to myself, man...it's really really small. My question is, how do you guys go about painting the really small details on these 1/24 cars?? For example the GT-R emblems on the front and rear and the center console???

I use a toothpick and just blot it on..Be carefull tho.

with a very very fine brush and lots of patience. For things like the console, you can mask off and airbrush for best results. But since this is your first model, I think very very careful brushwork would be fine for such things.

sometimes they come with decals for that sorta thing liek the GT-R badge on the front grill and the rear trunk

Oh yeah, when you order seats from SAS, does it come in pairs??

I dry brush it, by choosing the colour putting it on the brush, and then using a bit of kitchen roll, I remove most of the paint, until hardly any comes off, I then do about three coats to ensure coverage. Any that goes over, I touch up with a very fine brush.

Oh yeah, games workshop do special brushes for dry brushing, they are quite stiff, but still bend to allow easy coverage of the high areas only.

If its on the body, I laquer it first to make sure that if any goes over, I can just polish it off (with tamiya compung or Halfords Polishing Compound) and start again.

agree dry brush is your answer. I recommend you use acrylic paint since its easier to clean the excess.
