1997 LX a/c 3.0 DOHC

My 97 has the all digital panel. When i hit the max a/c button it dosent change, what could that be.

What doesn't change? The AC indicator doesn't come on on the panel? The air coming out the vents doesn't get cold? The blower doesn't come on? Need more details. What happens if you select "Auto?" What happens if you select the Defrost icon? Does the air to the windshield come out cold?

Everything on the display is correct, It used to get a little stronger and colder when i hit the max ac button. Basicaly I dont think the recerculate is working. when i hit the defrost, or auto or floor it all works fine. but the only thin that happens when i hit the max ac button is it says max ac on the screen, but nothing else happens.

I think the previous poster may have been on the right track. You probably have a vacuum line or vacuum actuator issue. I have posted the Ford vacuum troubleshooting table at http://www.members.aol.com/Rod241473...Stuff/EATC.jpg

You might be able to apply vacuum to the proper ports to determine if the actuators are working properly.
