PE fasteners on the hood. clear or no?

ok, i've finally gotten to the point of putting the PE DZUS quick turn fasteners on the hood of my pro mod. should i clear over them or leave them. im thinking about clearing it.

i think its best to put them on after clearcoating and polishing.
