Talking Tamiya R34 GT-R

hey guys,

saw some real incredible gt-r's here. starting one myself. gonna paint it yellow, or maybe red or white, dunno...suggestions? hopefully to be followed by an r32 and r33, and maybe the original 2000 gt-r, as well.

got a few questions. on the grille and tail, the gt-r and nissan emblems are molded and raised. would the decals go on well? or should i cut and sand them off so the decals would go on a smoother surface? and anybody knows how to properly paint clear signal lights (ie not just white paint) so it'll look like that on the v-sepc ii's?

looks like a great kit. haven't built a tamiya kit since i was a kid; been building monogram kits, so this one should go well.

any other tips? anyone knows if tamiya'll release an evo vii kit?

also already thinking about the next r34 i'll build, orange or grabber blue or white w/ carbon-colored hood and some crazy color scheme... this is fun

Just don't do the V-Spec II Nur, because that's gonna be mine.

Welcome to the club!

Usually I paint my clear taillights with silver, to help the light reflect better.

Have fun!

As you can see from my sig, I'm doing - sorry, helping my brother build the same car. With the gt-r badges I just painted the red and silver on cos i think the decal wouldnt stick well. I thought about sanding it off, but because im better at painting than at sanding, i just painted it.
