'63 nova 6cyl distributor question....

A friend has a '63 he's wanting to put an electronic ignition distributor in. Question is can he use a distributor out of a later model nova, like the dist. swap for a V8, or does he have to get some kind of conversion kit?

He has the '63 Nova w/ 194ci 6cyl.

Example would be using a distributor from say a 76-78 nova 6cyl (250ci used then).

Would this work? If not, what are his options??
