Need a new clutch

I am in the Air Force living in Japan and I have a '92 mr-2 gti with a '98 3rd gen 3sgte in it. I need to know if my car uses the same clutch found in mr-2's back in the U.S. so I can buy one on ebay. Any Ideas?

Because it wouldn't be a little bit more. It would be around $1000 for a stock clutch here. Besides, the new ones I find on ebay would be just the same or better for 1/4 the price. New car parts are expensive in Japan.
