93 Bonne wont stop beeping, brake light sensor on security monitor lit

This car won't stop beeping while I drive! The brake light icon in the security monitor went on and car started beeping. A brake light was out, and was replaced, but its still beeping! rechecked all the brake lights, and all are working, reverse lights working, signals working, but its still beeping. Tried disconnecting battery to reset system, but still beeps and brake light icon is still on. What can I do/try? After a week, the beeping is kinda getting to me

First suspect is parking brake pedal not fully returned to rest position, or damaged parking brake switch.
If this is checked OK, then low fluid level in master cylinder for which a cause must be found.
My understanding is you are not talking of the ABS light.......

Not the ABS light, but on the systems monitor (has the outline of the car on it) a red light that says Brake and a light icon is lit up in the trunk area of the car outline (not sure what to call it ). I talked to a mechanic and he said it sounded like a brake light was out, which was true. But its fixed now, and the car is still beeping. I rechecked all the rear lights, and all are working now.

I have never used the parking brake so I dont think its that, although I did check it, and pulled the brake release to make sure I didnt accidentally hit it, but it wasnt that.

All I want is for it to stop BEEPING! LOL My gosh, the darn thing could be burning and do nothing, but as soon as a brake light goes out... WARNING! WARNING! beep beep beep beep beep

Is there any way for me to disconnect the sensor to the brake lights?

I own a 93 bonn. and just recently the brake light came on and wont stop beeping. i thought it was the brake lights as well, but after replacing them it still didn't stop. So I took off my back tires and took a look at the brakes and found out that my brake seal broke and was leaking oil. You may have the same problem and if your still driving around on it your brakes will go totally out and you will not be able to stop. I recommend that you take a look at your brakes and see if they are either worn down to the senser or if your seal is broken as well... The alarm does not go off for your lights so you can scratch that off as the cause of the constant dinging (I know this because when I checked my lights I relised that one of my reverse lights were missing and was most likely gone for a while).

Either take your car into a shop or look at your brakes and fix it your self. Good luck I am fixing mine tomorrow.

most likely the brake switch under the pedal or you have a low fluid condition.

I had this problem with my 93 bonneville, and I could not find the problem either. Until the master cylinder was found to be leaking. Once the fluid gets low enough in the master cylinder, it will let you know by the brake light and the constant dinging. This fixed mine and i hope this helps, Jeff
