Re: dont have enough fan plugs

you dont plug fans into the motherboard, you plug them into the power source.

the fan has a 3 pin connector. the power supply has no 3 pin connectors. only the motherboard. the power supply powers the mother board which in turn powers the fans.....

get a molex conector to 3 pin adaptor. All antec led fans come with one to give you both options. Other brands of fans might come with them too, or you could probably buy them separatelly.

well my case all my fans are plugged into the power source, not the motherboard itself.

Re: dont have enough fan plugs

All depends on your tower. I'd strongly suggest contact the manufacturer whose tower you have and see if they can give you some advice. [But only if it out of warranty, if in warranty, any mod. like that is automatically voiding the warranty]

What are you talking about? Voiding the warranty if he adds a fan? No it won't. Not even brand name manufacturers are that anal anymore. They even allow add in cards for expansion nowadays. You would be hardpressed to find a manufacturer today that voids the warranty upon opening the case.

And if he has a custom computer it would be even to void any warranties.

Re: dont have enough fan plugs

Alphalanos, you figure it out yet? http://www.xoxide.com/80mmfans.html Any of these work, some even come with 3 pin to molex connectors. They come with male & female so you can runs a shitload of fans, cold cathodes, LEDs, etc. I think you can figure this out, but if you can't, shoot me a line.

Uh huh, tell that to Dell or Gateway or HP or Sony when you open the case and crack the sticker.

Simple solution, don't buy Dell, Gateway, HP, or Sony.
