wait.. is the gsr the one we will most likely get?? im confused
is the rs the lancer we have now?? or is the the stripped down version that competes with the sti type RA??? or is that the gsr????can someone please explain it all to me, i know the ranks in subaru but i talked to a guy in sweden that imported an evo 7 rs and he said the rs is the stripped down version with out the recaro's and stuff. is that faster or is it a lesser version, cause he said it had a worse intrior. but he had some model of the rs that had a nicer interior. thanks for all your help. |

The RS model has the same interior as the GSR minus Recaros, Fancy Momo wheel, aircon, elec. windows and stereo.
Also you dont get fancy mag wheels, only steel rims. Basically the RS is a race ready car without all the fancy stuff that you wouldnt use. |

so shouldnt we get the gsr since the rs is like a race ready? i mean, the rs doesnt have airconditioning stereo electric windows. i mean were not going to get the sti type ra, so shouldnt we get the gsr?
thanks. |

we SHOULD get the gsr, or it's american equivalent. Why, you ask? because folks in the US want A/C, power everything, and all the other bells and whistles (like a power moon/sunroof; I'd like that). it is unlikely that any dealership will have an RS; most likely they will be special order only if available at all (after all, it IS the race-ready version, not the street version).
I met a fellow that recently imported an Evo VII RS for racing here in Colorado. The cool thing is, they're letting him keep it after the season rather than making him return or destroy it like they usually do (them's the rules for a street-illegal racecar). Dunno about the middle-ground version (from what I understand), the RSII. Probably will be the base trim level for an Evo when they're released here... |
