02 OEM alarm

My mom has an 02 camry and I was driving it today and noticed that the alarm light in the car stays on flashing when the alarm is disabled and when using the remote to lock the car it only beeps once instead of twice. Any ideas how to fix this? I tried searching but couldnt find much info on the 02 and the owners manual just confused me even more...

It's possible that the system is in valet mode. Without more information on the actual type of alarm, I wouldn't be able to tell you much more than that right now.

it's the oem alarm that comes with the car from toyota. The one that arms and disarms with the oem keyless entry.
