LED bulbs....

I'm seeing more variations of LED bulbs popping up now. I've recently seen LED 194 (side marker) size bulbs, and wondered how good they are compared to standard 194 type bulbs. I know many have said the 1157 style LED bulbs for tail lights aren't very effective at night unless looked at dead on, is this the case as well with LED marker bulbs? I was considering maybe getting a pair for the markers I have on my Civic.

I know the corner units I have seen rock! very bright and very saturated color, nice!

I am interested in tails units too, specifically models to replace dual filament bulbs, for use on a 95 Accord.

I have looked quite a bit for these on my own, but seem to be coming up short. No good pics or descrips, seems sketchy.

Anyone own them now, tail lights I mean... I like my clears but faded bulbs r nasty lookin, make me seem ghetto

You can get them from www.autodynamic.com , or any place that sells APC stuff, they make LED bulbs, I dunno who makes the best ones though. But APC is the first I've seen of the side marker style LED bulbs.

I hear that LED bulbs don't fade but aren't as visible on a sunny day as regular bulbs.

Re: LED bulbs....

An LED expert once told my brother that LEDs can never match the light output of a incondecent (sp) bulb. Also, there are newer style LED bulbs that have a much better spread of light, so it fills the housing with light better. The outer LEDs are pointed out to the side, so it it reflects off of the housing and into the lens. When I talk to my lil brother, I'll ask him what LED site he goes to. He was really into LEDs for a while.

Re: LED bulbs....

I have the APC LED bulbs in my bumper turn signal (well it's the only turn signal in my car, cause the 2 corner lights are just marker lights for some reason) I must say I'm very disapointed with them. They realy aren't all that visible during the day and made my blinker go into 'crackhead mode'. Instead of regular blinking they now blink super quick. I ordered mine from TASAUTO.com and it says on there webpage that there soon will be no more APC LEDs. I don't know if that mean that TAS won't carry them or if they won't be made anymore.
