HELP!
I am getting a very strange noise in the front end of my 97 Hyundai Accent. I have just purchased this vehicle and am learning about it as I go. I hear but do not feel in the steering a pulsating sound, especially noticable when turning. It happens regardless of if it is in gear or coasting in neutral. I do not think it is a brake rotor, i've heard that noise before and this is not the same. I am wondering if it is a bearing or something like that.... possibly wheel bearings or the front axle or possible something to do with the transaxle... I am trying to troubleshoot the problem and narrow down the possiblities.... Can anyone make a suggestion? Thanks |

Had it looked at. Turns out it was a wheel bearing on the front drivers side. $165.00 later..... good as new.

Re: Strange pulsating noise in front end.....
It was just the drivers side. The other side was OK. My Accent has 97,000 miles on it.
