Header

Is hard to put in your own Header? I have a 90 integra LS what tools do you need? just a socket wrench?

9 x 12mm bolts
2 x 12mm bolts

its not too bad putting them in your self. It really helps to have an extra set of hands though. When you install your headers, be sure you get the part that connects to the head, to seal over the lip that is there (its not very noticable, and i almost missed it when doing mine).

would that part be the gasket? here's a free tip any time you put anything on the head ie. header, intake manifold, or either gasket port match them just take a small grinding wheel (dremel) and grind on the part not the head (unless your a pro) to make them all the same size this will cut down turbulence and give better flow. definatly not a lot of power but it free and simple power and every bit helps.

wheres the data on this? is this gain 1/2 an hp?

just wondering what type of gain will u be getting for a 421 headers and what size do u usually get. i went to get a quote for some headers but the guy said that its a lot of money to spend for onyl a small gain...he did mention that the LS's have reasonale size manis already??

have you never heard of port matching? its been around as long as guys have been trying to make there cars faster. it doesnt do anything fo FI but for an NA engine air flow is very important. its definatly not a lot power but it does help and its free so y not do it
