Whats this Jeep picture of?
I've been trying to find what this part is called, and no local Bumper-to-Bumper, Autozone, Checkers, or Napa know what it is. Its off of a 1990 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4.2L. Its located just below the battery on the firewall.
![]() If you know what this is, this is the only part between my starter and battery thats causing my new starter not to move. I need to get the part number from Chrysler, or if anyone has that handy so i can order a new one that would be great. Thanks. [email protected] |

Re: Whats this Jeep picture of?
Looks like that thing on the firewall, to do with ignition. The bottom thing is a vaccumm line to the airbox, or somewhere around there. Maybe intake. The left side connector goes to the wiring harness. I could be totally wrong. Just my guess is all.

Re: Whats this Jeep picture of?
Looks like it is time to pull it off the Jeep (if you haven't already) and take it to the dealer to find out what it is called.
I've seen similar things in other vehicles, but forget what they're called.

Re: Re: Whats this Jeep picture of?
Update: I've finally found the part, the dealer calls it a "Battery Relay", and the average price is around $50 if anyone ever needs one.
