Question Droopy headliner

I have an '05 TB and the headliner over the driver's seat right near the sunroof has dropped a bit. I can stick my fingers into the gap and it feels like a piece of double sided tape has let loose. I have tried to reattach it and also use a new piece of double sided tape, but neither worked it still drops.

Any suggestions or recommendations as to what I could use or what would be a good fix?

first thing i would check if there's a leak, even pinhole leak from the sunroof where moisture could get in and undo the effectiveness of the tape. but that's just my two bits.

Dry as a bone...checked it during and after a recent heavy storm.

Re: Droopy headliner

There is "industrial Velcro" in there... I just had the same thing, in the exact same spot fixed last week.
Next time you bring it in... have them fix it!

Autozone also carries a spray-on adhesive specifically for headliners, might wanna try that.

Re: Droopy headliner

If your vehicle is under warranty, I would strongly suggest you take it to the dealer. I had mine done the other day and the mechanic left the empty tube of adhesive in my truck. It was a GM labeled tube of gel adhesive. It looked very similar to Krazy Glue gel. So, if your truck is out of warranty, try using Krazy Glue. The spray-on adhesive is probably for the fabric and not for the entire headliner piece.
