Question About Suzuki Savage
Hello All,
I've posted a few times and have gotten a lot of help...hope I can get some good answers again. I have a 2002 Suzuki Savage and am having a small problem with my rear running lights. To be exact they dont work...only when I am using a turn signal. I did not get a manual when I got the bike and I refuse to go to the mechanics in my area because they rape you so horribly with their prices. I am thinking it might be a relay or maybe a fuse or something. Unfortunately I dont know where they are located and I am not confident enough to go rooting around and potentially messing something up. So if you all could either give me a sight where I can view/download a manual or tell me the location of the fuses on a Savage I would be VERY thankful for any help. Thanks in advance! |

Re: Question About Suzuki Savage
The rear "turnsignals" don't function as running lights like the front "turnsignals". At least that is how MOST bikes work. I hope that is what you meant...

might be as simple as the globes.
always assume the easiest. as they are a running light and a blinker they may have a twin filament and three contacts. i'm having a guess here because in OZ we don't have that setup with ruuning lights. if its a relay steup to control the running and blinker configuration, then it will be a single filament and a single fuse. there will be a relay with a problem. i'll try and figure out how they'd do it and get back to you (ps i'm a sparky)

suzuki savage
Hi, If you haven't already done so, check 2 websites for savages.
http://www.heise.workstations,de/ls6...50-fragen.html www.suzukisavage.com The 1st one is the one with the most information. If that website doesn't work, do a search under suzuki savage forums. Most people read both forums so if you can't find the heise site ask on the suzukisavage site. |

Re: Question About Suzuki Savage
Saturn gave you the answer. The rear signals aren't wired as running lights from the factory. You could adapt some 3 wire signals, but the stockers just aren't wired that way.
