1988 celica gt convertible parts/accessories

Hey. I've had my Celica for about 3 years now and I'm having a hard time finding a body kit and other parts like that. I'm also having a hard tiem finding a window lift motor and weathering strip. I did find a body kit for a 5th gen celica that I like and I was wondering if I could possible cut it down or modify it slightly to fit. I just wanna know what I can do to it. I know I have a hard time finding parts because it's a convertible but it shouldn't matter when it comes to a body kit. I also want to know if there's a site where I can order parts for it like a performance exhaust and stuff. Auto Zone, Nappa, and Advance Auto do not have my car in their system. I've tried E-Bay, searching on the web. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places. If you have any info let me know.

I've been working hard on my car to get it fixed up for a car show in august. I bought the car for $700 and I've already put about $1500 into it. I don't wanna give it up.

I'm getting a paint job for it soon because the clear coat is pretty much gone. Everytime I clean it the primer shows through more as if I were wet sanding it. I heard this was common with the older Celicas. I'll do anything and pay anything to have this car looking great.

Here's some pics of my car as of right now:

Thumbs up

Check andysautosport.com They have body kits for almost everything. That is freakin awesome that you are gonna fix that up no matter what. I am gonna fix up my 91 gt4 even though it is 15 years old... almost my age. I'll check some more sites for kits for you. Its rare to see someone with much dedication to an old car, besides a muscle car, and I think it's cool. Good luck and I'll try to keep lookin,

http://www.aeroform.com/Products/gfx/celica.htm

The first link is another body kit. The second link is a forum where a bunch of people are getting custom CF hoods made. You will have to register and talk to them about signing you up if you are interested in that.

http://www.toyotacelicaonline.com/bodykit4.htm

This last line shows most body kits made for your car and where to find a lot of them. I like the APS one myself. This whole website has tons of info and pics of fixed up celicas. You can try to contact some of those people and find out what they did. Good luck,

Re: 1988 celica gt convertible parts/accessories

Hey thanks so much. I really like the aeroform one. I also heard not to order from andysautosports.com. My friend got a body kit from them for his car and it didn't fit at all.
