Toyota diesel coming to USA ?
Toyota, somewhere in the 70's and 80's, produced and sold in America a compact pickup with a diesel engine, and being that it was a Toyota the engine was of superb quality. And the diesel was reasonably efficient in terms of gas milage. Does anyone know why they stopped selling them here? Toyota currently sells diesel powered vehicles in Europe I've been told. I would expect their diesel engine would sell well here in the US. Does anyone know of something that may be makng its way over here sometime soon? any replies are greatly appreciated. thanks!

Word in the trade mags is that Toyota is working with Hino to develop a diesel for the next gen Tundra. Possibly MY09
