I have a 2600i 4x4 and was wondering if someone could give me some hints on tightening my emergency brake.

Re: How do I tighten my Emergency brake?
Get the manual, I have same model, '89. I can only assume here, cuz I never done it. But most likely it is an adjustable screw on the cable somewhere. And its probably a cable that goes from e-brake loops around firewall down to frame and back to rear brakes. just trace it.

Your rear brake shoes has worn down considerably and are too far from the drum. You need to adjust the brake shoes in the drum. There is a hole behind the brake drum that is plugged with a rubber piece and is close to the brake line that goes to the wheel cylinder. Inside the hole is a star washer for adjusting the brake shoe gap. Use a flat screw driver to spin the star washer until you cannot spin the brake drum then back off until the drum spins. This will also adjust the e-brake cable by itself.
