Re: rebuild b18c
building a high compression block then rebuilding to a low compression block must mean you have alot of money and time.
time and money. i wish i had plenty of that. seriously though, if you had that much money for parts and labor and if you really wanted an NA setup and turbo setup, save yourself alot of money by buying two blocks, do the work yourself aside from the machine work. or you can just save yourself all the trouble and just walk one path.

Re: rebuild b18c
exactly what superblue civic said...
ur gonna build a high compression engine to try and get 240whp out of it..and then ur gonna turn right back around and take off those very parts to turn it low compression for f/i... not worth it..either get 12 blocks.. or make up ur mind about what u wanna do.. all motor or turbo... all motor is hella expensive compared to turbo'ing.. and u'll get more power out of turbo as well.. |

Re: rebuild b18c
I stock GSR bottom end is strong as hell and can make a lot of power.
Just boost it, find somewhere local that can tune Hondata/Chrome/Uberdata tune the hell out of it and be happy a touch with over 300hp on a OE bottom end. That's more than enough to smoke the living piss out of most cars running the streets today, and still remain fully streetable. As far as money invested vs gains, turbo is the way to go. Getting real serious all motor power is a deep cash well.

Re: rebuild b18c
any b series block will give you some nice power, with the exception of the b20 short block.
