how much would it cost to swap my 1.3litre engine in my 88 corolla to a 1.6 or 1.8litre.any help would be appreciated.

My opinion: Better of buying another car with 1.8l for that year.

i wouldn't waste the time or money it would take you. I like toyotas but just get another one w/ the motor u want.

you could probably find some decent ones around the 2k range, my 1.8 was 3k altogether, good luck
