Alpine Type-R kick out some nice bass as far as I've seen. Gonna need an amp with them though.

i'll agree alpine type r is a great speaker i loved them. one thing about the alpines depending on which honda you are putting them in they are such a massive(deep)speaker you may have to modify the mounting plate to get them to fit. another good speaker for the money is the alpine type s speaker its not quite as good as the type r but it is still a great sounding speaker. and if your hestitant about modify the speaker mount the type s speakers do come with a bracket specifically for honda applications. i hope this helps you.

Are you looking for dedicated midbass drivers? Do you have at least your doors sound deaden? It woudl be a waste to get the best speaker you can get, and not have it work properly because the lack of installation material.

Re: Best 6.5 speakers with most "kickdrum" midbass?

you read all the posts you want on the web and look at spec. sheets until your eyes start to bleed and you can still not make the best decision.

some people say the best are the ones that cost the most. others say they are the ones that can handle the most power.

my advice...go and listen to a bunch of diff. speakers. then choose which one sounds best to you. afterall you can hear what is on a spec sheet.
