Question 2005 Grand Caravan Radio and Window problems

I have a 2005 Grand Caravan. (I am not the original owner.) When I first got it was having problems with 1 key fitting in the ignition. Went to the dealer, they filed it down. Seems better I guess. Then the passenger front window would not go down or up. Once the driving lights wouldn't go out after the switch was turned off. Now, the radio stays on and the clock after the key is removed and the door opened. I came back to the van after an errand and the radio was still playing. I'm afraid this is going to kill the battery. Is this all electrical and related?

Re: 2005 Grand Caravan Radio and Window problems

If you turn your headlights off before you shut off the vehicle, they are off. If you shut off the vehicle and then turn the headlights off, they stay on for 2 minutes so you can see where you are walking. As for the radio, it will continue to play for a couple minutes after you take the key out of the ignition but it is supposed to go off automatically as soon as the drives door is opened and closed. If it stays on after you get out and shut the door then you probably have trouble with you ignition cylinder, since the key was not working correctly.

In any event, unless the van already has 36,000 miles, all is covered under the warranty so take it to a dealer and let them worry about it.
