Code P1810 TFP Valve Position Switch
I posted about a month ago that I replaced the pressure control solonoid myself and the problem was still happening. I just know have had a chance to go and get the code for the SES light. It is P1810 dealing with the transmission yet.
I looked on alldata.com and they said to check the fluid level after a transmission job. "If a transmission overhaul was performed, ensure that the transmission fluid is at the proper level. A low fluid condition may set this DTC."
It was between a pint and a quart low. I filled it up to full (fluid in the hatch marks), went out and drove it and it shifts fine now. However the light is still on. Do I need to go and have it reset again, read the code, or what?
Should I have the computer reset or let it run through the cycle? "The PCM turns off the MIL during the third consecutive trip in which the diagnosis test runs and passes." per alldata
Thank you all for helping.
