I have heard about the 'Toyota Sludge' problem. I have a '94 4 cyl Camry LE with a 5SFE engine. I was wondering if my car is likely to have that problem, and what I can do to prevent it. I bought it used, but I have been doing regular oil changes. I don't see any sludge, except for a little in the oil fill cap, but I believe that is because of the little amout that gets splashed up there and probably oxidizes and sticks there. I haven't noticed any anywhere else. I have read that toyota claims it is just due to people not doing regular oil changes. If my year is affected by this problem, will doing these regular oil changes prevent it? Or is the problem almost inevitable?
