engine problems

i recently put a jdm b15b vtec in my 92 auto dx . the engine did not come with the ecu so i used my dx ecu for the last month until yesterday when i got my p08. i installed it my self and had someone doublecheck it for me and it was installed correctly. the problem is that my vtec kicks in like it should but i have no real difference in power from my old ecu. i should be able to notice a difference from 102 hp to 130 hp. the guy i took it from also hooked up anoter vtec ecu and the same thing. im not throwing any check engine lights so i dont have a idea of whats wrong , i changed my feul filter because he told me that it could be the problem but still no difference, with the new moter and ecu i didnt get any more top speed than my old engine. is ther somewhere out there that can let me know whats wrong i would really appreciate it.

i had the local honda guy check it out and he said theres no problem with the vtec. you can also hear it when it kicks in, and its an auto so it doesnt go to 7200 unless in neutral.

he ment d15... but being that your car is an auto... there may not be that much of a difference because you cannot get your car to where it has the most HP... i think its like 5200... if you step on it, it may go there but typical everyday driving is gonna get you to like 3500-4500 in an auto... i think... lol
