i got killed by a new cavalier!!!

help!!!!! i was in a decent size town leaving to go a party at a friends house.. well we decided to go have some fun before the party and go to this town of Matoon IL.. well we pull up behind this ricer looking new cavalier.. had nice rims, some un stock mufler but wasnt a fart can. and had a ton of vinyl tatoo's on it.. it turned green and he was sitting there and didnt go..(playing with his radio) well i put it in netrual and give a nice rev in my 93 sentra se-r... then he takes off.. so i kept up with him and he changed lanes.. then we were first in line at the next and last light.. then straight road for about 7 miles... well when the light turn green he punched it, and squealed his tired.. i said hell no.. i floored it , some car pulls out in front of me.. i wait for him to pass so i get behind him, then after i pass that one car i get back into the lane i was in.. then hit it again..he still has it hammered, so i hit it again.. i flew past him going 117 mph and he still was wanting to keep going.. but i quit.. well then now we finally got into charleston IL, and they pull up beside me and say that car doesnt have balls.(his fat girlfriend said it) then my buddy yells i know cuz they are stuck on your chin.. he asked if i actually wanted to race, i said lets go.. then he backed off and said he is low on gas.. i know my car isn't fast... but would that be consided a kill for him, when he took off out of the blue? orwould it be a kill for me, being that i passed him while he still had it punched.. and can some one tell me what that anoying high pitched noise is when he shifted? and can some one tell me whats wrong with my car? when i punch it it wont shift it will redline and bounce and rev constantly? i have to let off to shift... thanks for any imput... by the way this is the same car that blew the doors off a 1998 sunfire stock.. sometimes i wish i had my opel gt with me for punks like that..

cant explain it but i only WOT shift in my 05 spec v about 50% of the time cuz it bounces out of second to the grinding of my gears......ouch huh? something about sentra trannys i guess you have to let off the gas to shift

my bad, it was my nissan that beat the sunfire.. thanks for the replys...
here is a picture of my nissan.. not bad for my everyday driver.. and hell i only paid 300 for it and all it really needed to drive was an alternator and a battery..[IMG][/IMG]

It didn't even sound like a race to me. But you're stock SE-R will have a hard time with newer Cavaliers anyway. They can easily pull a 15.6 with a good driver. Try racing from a roll next time! Cavaliers have a ECU that changes the fuel map depending on how hard the launch it. You'll kill him from a roll.
