5x7s vs 6.5s

yo i've got a set of kappa 5x7s in the rear of my car right now but the woofer got creased a little when the jackass who installed them didn't cut a big enough hole and they thumpped up against a piece of metal for a few months. that crease lead to a separation between the glass fiber woofer and the rubber absorber, in other words it is blown.

i've since then fixed the size of the hole to accomidate 5x7s and as large as 6x9s. my question is are there any benefits to 5x7s over 6.5s? i don't want to fuss with cramming 6x9s in there and the 6.5s in the front doors hit really hard.

i dont really understand the question since you have three different speaker sizes mentioned.. im confused as to what you want to know..

but no matter what your answer is ill tell you right now in order from best to worst

1) 6 1/2
2) 6x9
3) 5x7

i HATE 5x7s.. i havent found a pair yet ive really liked.. its almost liek its the worst size speaker ever.. well im sure as fatr as bass response goes smaller speakers will suck even more.. but

point is, dont worry abotu your rears, if they work even kinda alright now just leave em cause your main focus should be frontstage.. if you dont liek sound switch otu the fronts.. unless those back speakers sound liek absolute ass.. otherwise, leave em i guess (i would)

I just ordered 6.5" Type-R Components...I think they will be much better than the coaxial 6x9.
