Re: Car will not start 3

It's probably your immoibilizer. This has happened to me 3 times over the past 2 years. On the centre of the dash, ther is a red image of a car with a key in it,if this continues to flash after you have inserted your key - it's the ant theft device.

Post Engine Wont Fire Help

Hey to all Mazda 626/ford probe/and mx-6 owners out there i had a problem with my 89 626 no turbo, 4cyl, automatic...anyways to get to the point mine wouldnt start it would roll over but wouldnt start and like many of you i checked the battery, fuel pump, coil pack, rotor button blah blah blah...well i didnt know it but there is a tiny piece called the magnetic pick-up inside the distributor housing, its pretty much just a wire or two and a small metal plate (atleast from looking at it anyways) its about 2" x 1/2" in size and costs about $75 at my local auto parts store..so if you have the symptoms i mentioned just take out the part and take it to auto zone they can test it for free...oh and dont forget to mark your distributor b4 you remove it because sorry to say i didnt and had to spend an hour re-setting the timing!! good luck
