2001 Ford Ranger 4wd Indicator Light does not come on
I stop the truck, put it in Nuetral, depress the brake, and switch it to 4h or 4l and no light comes on. I was in gravel, and gave the engine some juice, and only the back tires spin.
Anyone have any ideas what might be the cause of this? And what part is causing this? Thanx, Dave |

Re: 2001 Ford Ranger 4wd Indicator Light does not come on
If Ford still uses the same basic system as in 1990,there is a module behind the drivers seat(behind jump seat in ext. cab) that controls 4wd,and also troubleshoots the system. On My Ranger the problem (same as yours) was a poor connection at module.
