what is better?

ok, so i was just looking at hmotorsonline just having some fun, looking at swap prices and stuff and i was wondering in your opinions, what engine is better, the b16a2 or the b18b... this engine would be for a 97 civic if i were getting it but im not yet... i know the b16 has more HP from the get go but the LS engine has more torque...and the complete swaps cost about the same amount also... so have some fun and tell me what you think

Defenatly B16a2 Will Smoke The Shit Out Of B18b.
B18b Is good motor and you can drop B16 head and have LS/vtec but You gotta Build it right. People Complain About them Keep Braking
If you gona buy a swap think about it carfully dont rush But if you gona pick B16a2 vs B18B Defenatly Get B16a2!!

Just My Opinion !

Re: what is better?

If you're going to spend the money and the time to do a motor swap, you should really make it worth your time and get a VTEC engine. A B-series VTEC would be a great swap into your Civic. I have a GS-R and i would definately recommend a GS-R (B18C1) swap into your Civic. In the long run you'll thank yourself for spending the extra money to get a VTEC engine rather than something like that B18B.

Re: what is better?

an ls/with a vtec can be a monster turbo motor however - if u build a b16 right, they can be too- but the b18 obviously is bigger - lmao! good luck on your decision!
