Question idle problem steering question

I know that there is a switch for the ac to idle up does anybody know if there is something for trans. too. Here is the deal it idles fine in park or neutral. Put it in drive and it runs rough. Here is the kicker in drive with the ac compressor running it idles up and runs fine. ?????? Here is my second problem the steering it appears to all be tight. There is one strut that need to be changed on the back. It is like to car kinda shakes back and forth. It feel like rack and pinion but lke i said it is tight. It really seems to me like power steering problem. I say this cause for a second it feels like it has power steering then for another second none then it is back again that fast. It dosent grind or make any noises. could this be something to do with some valve pluged, just a question. Any help would be appericated. ?????????????????

Re: idle problem steering question

Check to see if the level of the power steering fluid is high enough.

Re: idle problem steering question

Was the car ever in a front-end collision? I am finding it difficult to picture what the symptoms of your problem are.

It was wrecked in the rearend. It is really weird to me to. who could I take it to that would really know what it is. I will give you a little more information maybe that will help. at low speed the steering wheel will a little bit but at say 50 it steers fine. no shake no real steering problems I can really notice. I have to go now but if this helps write me back thanks DREW
