1988 jeep 2.5l and 2.8l questions 1988
I have a 1988 jeep comanche that is 2wd 4 speed and has a 2.5l 4 cylinder in it. I'm told that the 4 cylinders use in the earlier jeeps are chevy engines, and when I buy gaskets and parts alot of the labels on the boxes say chevy 4 cyl on them also. My questions are, 1. Are the 4 cylinders used in jeeps the same as the ones in the s10s? 2. Can I bolt an s10 5 speed to my jeep engine? 3. Are the 2.8ls used in jeeps the same as the ones used in s10s?
