Unhappy Poor Performance

I have a Audi 1.9td red i. Its really slow at the moment. My wifes 1.0 litre peugeot 106 is miles faster. Somebody told me the Turbo may be broken Could this be true?

If your turbo had gone you'd know cos it wouldn't run. Check the air filter. It could be the air mass meter but they are a notorious dealer con. My S4 has always driven great but audi said it needed a new air mass meter whilst servicing it. they did it and it had no effect whatsoever. BUT they do go so get a VAG COM scan.

the maf sensor fault does not show as an error code ,the only way to check it is to try accelerating in 3rd gear if it is really flat it is the maf sensor.you can buy them from ebay for around £65 you just have to check your engine code afn/afu etc
