99 Max power antenna removal

I recently installed a Pioneer cd player in my 99 Maxima, and now my power antenna is up when i'm listening to a cd or the radio. Does anyone know how i can remove the antenna or remove the antenna fuse to keep it from coming up all together? I never listen to the radio, so i'm almost to the point of ripping the stupid antenna out all together.

I tried removing the audio fuse up front by the driver seat, and that cut the power to the stereo and the antenna. Anybody have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same here, its always down. I've got a separate switch to get it up. In my system it was always powered and up when audio system got pwr, now its direct connected to always hot fuse, controlled only via that switch.

If you dont have that sw, add one or juts unplug it. Radio might be needy one day, its good to have it connected.

If u have all stock, the service manuals have drawings for it; no need to have the exact year model. See links on my web page.

Seems its only my euro nissan feature: beside the handbrake. U have to make one...

The 2002 service manual explains only window antenna. Try the -94 manual schema for antenna wirings as most peripherals dont change by year model.

The schema is on FSM page EL-109. (For link, click my cardomain page.)

The fuses that feed Power Antenna Timer circuit in that -94 circuit, are:
Dash fuse panel:
Left bank-Right bank
L10 -------- R9
L13
