Ways Of Getting more power

What are ways that you would suggest to get more power out of a I6? I was thinking of increasing the throttle body size and then K & N High flow with a MSD. What do you think?

Re: Ways Of Getting more power

Hi there Psyco,

On my 96 XJ I had the I6 4.0, loved it! I put on a high flow intake, bored the throttle body and put in a spacer. Saw improvement in power and MPG. Go to http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoTBboring.htm for the how to, and while your there, take a look at the other mods like changing the intake to a later style.

Some time, you'll have to start looking at exhaust. What goes in, must come out!

Depending on the year, I've heard of some injector swaps that can help shove more fuel down the hole, more power, not necessarily more MPG...
