I went to unlock my Jetta '96 and it gave a little 'beep' as if I had just set the alarm. When I turned the ingnition EVERYTHING was dead. Checked the battery, it is full charged. Pushed on the square fuses above the little fuse panel and the alarm horn sounded and the power came on and I was able to start the car. Turned it off and power went again. What is up? Any ideas. I have to push on this little noisey square fuse to get any life. Haven't driven in it yet.

Armick here again. Different key allowed all doors to open and electrics back on! Radio is on "SAFE". Other key works fine now too. Maybe someone tried to break in and the car locked itself up - could this be?
