Help - where is my voltage regulator........
in my '89 Dakota 3.9 4WD. Some sources say it is inside the computer. Others say it is in the engine compartment somewhere. Please help me find where it is. Thanks.

it is under the hood on the passenger side in front of the shock tower

actually, your voltage regulator is integrated to your PCM, or Powertrain Control Module. If your regulator is bad, the entire PCM will need to be replaced.
