Want to buy a firebird?

after pouring $3k in new motor parts and $4k in the body I am ready to sell.

After spending all that money replacing everything from the fuel pump to camshaft sensor i have discovered the culpret, a $120 EGR valve.

I am pissed and am now selling the car. I've invested $13k in a 3.8 firebird and have just come to my senses and realized how ridiculous i've been.

1998 140k miles. Runs absolutely perfect has mint interior and paint not even a year old. $6600 obo

Re: Want to buy a firebird?

Well if you've got it running now, then why get rid of it?

Re: Want to buy a firebird?

Good luck selling it!!

But I don't see how an EGR valve caused your problem.

Re: Want to buy a firebird?

Don't know either Mr. Luos,
it has baffled many mechanics and cost me a lot of money. An EGR valve would have been my last guess and it was. That's why I have new plugs, wires, fuel pump, catalytic converter, camshaft sensor, and new 02 sensors.

As for why sell the car after it is fixed. I now dislike the car so much that I don't care to own it anymore!
