Hello, i purchased the rear rotors and set of brake pads for the 4 wheels. All the process went fine until i tried to put the new brake pads. The caliper piston, won't go back. i tried all kinds of s**t, like opening the valve for drain the braking fluid, a C-Clamp (this one broke!!!!), and i couldn't do it. I tried to put the old brake pads. Nope. Ok, then i trought that my rotor was thicker, even it looked the same, anyway, i put the old rotor back, and the old brake pads, and the caliper won't fit anymore!!!!!, i kinda force it, and put more brake fluid to compensate the one that i lost and then, the wheel won't move. Ok, i trought, maybe when the car is running it will. It did, but just about 20 yards i drove, and it start smoking all kinds of crap and my car now won't brake.
Does anybody know what of all this went wrong!!!! And, what to do to fix it!!! Plz, i need my vehicle, and besides, i love it. So any help will be more than welcomed. sincerely... DIY Pepeluche. |

maybe i dont know jack , but.. did you use a hex wrench to turn the caliper ? on the rears there is a special tool that you can get to turn them and compress them in at the same time.. i did it the hard way with a wrench, but thats why the hex hole is on the face of the caliper...

Yes, you're right, it has a hex hole on the middle, but seems like there's two kinds of tool, because there is one kind of calipers with a couple of holes for the special tool, and this one doesn't has them. Anyway, a hex 12 mm wrenck worked and a c-clamp. |
