Not a lot, but we still pretended to be interested.

Siddown and be quiet.

Yes, in the Western world we tend to get a new car every three years, hence the older the car, the more irrelevant they become. However sometimes there are certain types of cars that have so much character, were so revolutionary or are so classy that people want to keep them and preserve them.

Cars like these are known as "Classic cars"

Mark, you never told me you were an eccentric 45-70 year old Lawyer with a beard. Well they are the types of folk who buy old Rovers over here on the more civillised side of the ditch at least

I LOVE it, my mates dad used to have a P5 (I think, may have been a P6, LONG time ago) 3500 as well as an SD1, he still does have a whole lot of old British cars (Triumph 2500 Mk1 Targa car, some kind of 1960's Austin Princess Vanden Plas and a Wolsely Hornet). The Brits may never have done it right, but at the very least they did it with class and character.

Damn straight. I've loved old Rovers for quite some time now. I participate in the local Owner's club, so have ridden in several now, P4s, P5s, and P6s. Still haven't had a chance to take a good look at an SD1 yet though
