compression tested.

did a compression test this last saturday and the results were pretty good all of the cyclinders were 190 or 1 below or 1 above.
i think a brand new ka is 179 so i was 11 off. not bad at all.

on another note, i went to a local dyno, where they had a car show type thing and everyone was dynoing there car. i got to see a supra dyno at 794 whp, and then a drag car followed it and only got 799whp haha.

Re: compression tested.

Good numbers. The thing is, all compression testers tend to read +/- a couple psi. The tester Nissan used was prolly super expensive and accurate while you and I prolly use ones from Advanced Auto.lol The important thing is that all of the cylinders were close to each other. Go boost!!!

Re: compression tested.

actually the compression checker was seemed to be pretty expensive, i borrowed it off of a friends dad who has a T-bucket that has mickey thompson slicks, and could probably pop wheelies if need be, so he is a real good mechanic, he works for GM. he lended me his compression tester, here how it worked.. hook a clip to the positive battery terminal, and hook a clip to the small starter wire, then those two clips went into wires into a gauge, and then you had something that screwed into the spark plug place and that went to the gauge also, and when you press the button on the gauge up it will turn the engine over and keep turning it over until the needle stops moving up, and when you press the button down it releases the compression, and you repeat for each cylinder. it was a pretty nifty gadget. you'd probably have to use one to see how cool it was....
