car won't start, no clicking

It's a '94 Celica with right side body damage to the fender/wheel/door. It also won't start. (I'm thinking of purchasing this vehicle). The vehicle was completely dead so we tried to jump it. After a couple minutes, some power returned to the car - lights, windshield wipers, radio ect worked. There was a security alarm/system on the car but the wires were cut because the alarm kept going off and no one could figure out how to turn it off.

The car wouldn't start, no clicking, no nothing. A different battery was thrown in but to no avail. As I said the lights and accessories worked though. The owner said that after the car got into the accident she drove it home a few blocks no problem but one of the tires is slightly bent out (swing arm?). It was parked and hasn't been driven/started since March.

Some suggestions I got was the starter, solenoid, neutral safety switch, ignition switch, a seized engine, or the large fuses near the battery.

Is there any way to get a better idea of what's most likely wrong with it before I purchase it? It's a 5 sp. but we didn't try popping the clutch. We tried cleaning out the battery terminals/connectors as well which didn't help. Thanks in advance.

i say starter i mean you should at least hear it, espcially if you dropped in a new battery

you should really try to push start the car, also you might want to jack up the car and see what is bent just to be sure before you buy something with a possibly major problem
