Help Help Help Maf???????
Alright I plan on cleaning my MAF on my 02 V6 prerunner, before I do I have a Question... I dont have the money to replace it, so here is my question about the MAf, is there supposed to be a brownish bulb on the wire that sits on the side? Mine is a little dirty, and before I spray it down can someone show me a pitcure of a clean one Vs a dirty one?

yes, it is supposed to have a brown bulb on the wire. that isnt the only wire on the sensor though. there are two more in one of the holes. you cant really get a picture of that because it is hard enough to see without a camera. if you really want to clean that good, get some carb cleaner and while the truck is running, spray it into the intake. while you are doing that, rev up the engine because if you dont it will die. i did this to mine and it runs a ton better and the check engine light isnt on anymore. hope that helps.

i have no idea what it does. i think that it might hold that wire in place or something. thats all i can think of. well you might see the light come on again but it will go off again. thats what is happening to my truck. but it does run a lot better.
